Counselling in Christchurch

Why Come For Counselling in Christchurch?

Counselling can change your life. Talking to someone independent can really help you work out what is wrong and what you can do about it. Based in Christchurch, I can give you the time and space you may need to look at your situation objectively and in a more helpful way.

The Benefits Of Counselling Can Include:

  • Relieving your isolation by sharing your thoughts, feelings and worries in a safe and objective place.
  • Improving your relationship with yourself and others by getting to know yourself better.
  • Increasing your self esteem by accepting yourself and feeling confident to make choices which will improve your day to day life and well being.

Who Is Counselling For?

I work with adult individuals and offer short and open ended counselling for:

  • Relationships
  • Anxiety and depression
  • Self esteem
  • Divorce and separation
  • Loss and grief
  • Loneliness
  • Abuse
  • Work-related stress
  • Family and parenting difficulties
  • And more…

My practice is based in Christchurch, a short walk from the railway station. We meet in comfortable private rooms and there is a guest car park behind the building. Christchurch is easily accessed from Bournemouth, Ringwood, Poole and surrounding areas.

About Me

I’m an experienced, qualified and professional counsellor. My background is in education. I have over 20 years experience of teaching in schools and working for charities supporting disadvantaged families.

I enjoy keeping my knowledge and skills up-to-date with courses, and my own reading and research. I’m very interested in neuroscience and mindfulness, and ways that they can help us in our relationships with ourselves and others.

I’m a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere to their guidelines for ethical practice.
